Amazon + Xero integration

Post Amazon settlements to Xero with fees, refunds and taxes in the right accounts, reconciled to the payout.

01 — What syncs

The data that moves between Amazon and Xero.

AmazonXero
  • One summarised invoice or journal per settlement
  • Fees by type
  • Refunds and reimbursements
  • Marketplace-collected VAT/sales tax
  • Vendor invoices and remittances
One-way flow

Data flows from Amazon into Xero. Nothing is written back to Amazon, so your listings and orders are never changed by this integration.

02 — Use cases

What teams use it for.

Seller Central (3P)

For sellers

  • Book settlements automatically to your chart of accounts
  • Reconcile the bank feed against payouts in one step
  • Track multi-currency marketplaces correctly
Vendor Central (1P)

For vendors

  • Invoice Vendor POs and match remittances
03 — How we build it

Authorised access

Login with Amazon authorisation and Xero's own auth. No shared passwords, no screen scraping.

Mapped to your setup

Fields, accounts, locations and rules mapped to how you use Xero, not a generic default.

Reliable by design

Queues, retries within Amazon's rate limits, and alerts when something needs a human.

Logged and auditable

Every record synced is logged, so you can trace any order, invoice or stock change.

04 — FAQ

Amazon + Xero questions.

Does it handle multiple currencies?

Yes. Each marketplace settlement is posted in its currency, with Xero handling conversion to your base currency.

Do you use official Amazon APIs?

Yes. We build on the Selling Partner API and Vendor APIs (or EDI for Vendor Central where that is the agreed channel), using authorised access through Login with Amazon. We don't scrape Seller Central or Vendor Central.

Can this work for both Seller Central and Vendor Central?

Yes. Seller (3P) and Vendor (1P) accounts use different Amazon APIs, so we design each flow for the account types you actually run. Many clients run both.

How long does an integration take?

It depends on the number of flows, data volume and how much custom mapping your setup needs. After a short discovery call we give you a fixed scope and timeline.

Who hosts and maintains it?

Your choice. We can host it on AWS for you with monitoring and alerts, or deploy it into your own cloud account. Either way we offer ongoing maintenance as Amazon and the other system change their APIs.
